UPDATES ON TASK 2

UPDATES ON TASK 2

Dear students,

This is what was written in the task guide when the course started last month:

For some reason I cannot understand, they have changed the site, and now you can only share your work if use the old version. That is why you should start on the old site. There is a link to it in the top right corner of the page.

To  share your PicLit on your blog, you have to click on Blog or share  it  and then copy the embed code and paste it in a new post of your blog, in the  HTML tab.

The Home address: http://www.piclits.com/compose_dragdrop.aspx

Specific hints for teachers: http://www.piclits.com/educators.aspx

Please note that the link they provide is not working (?), so you should add one below, as I have done:

They have changed it, there is no possibility of going to Visit Old Site., so you cannot embed your work in your blog. It is possible, besides, that some of you have lost their work, so I would like to apologise for it. Websites change, but it is not common that they don’t allow you to retrieve your work before deleting it, so I think there must be a mistake.  Or maybe Zuckerberg’s interests have something to do with it: you can post your PicLits on Facebook and Instagram.

The site is working, though, and I think it is useful because students of the lower levels seem to like it a lot: they do something creative in English with a computer and they can show it (or email it) to their family and friends.Teenagers like to share their work.

So, if you have done a Pic.Lit and you have lost it, please accept my apologies and just say so, and I will consider it done; or maybe, as it is a very easy task and it might be useful in the future, you can just try and create a new one. I have adapted the Task Guide to the new interface.
